I’ve always love the feeling of playing with Games Made of Wood. Checkers are heavier, classic chess pieces are made of solid wood. Hand carved chess pieces are sometimes worth more in later years than when they were purchased. Wood stands up better against the rigors of everyday use and can be refinished and polished as need be to keep it’s just made look. I buy wood products whenever possible. I wish the Carom Game company would make their nok hockey sticks out of wood, but that just isn’t the case.
